Mission Statement At Mazel Tots we want to provide a warm and stimulating environment, which will encourage children's curiosity and help them to grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Our warm and nurturing staff will guide the children through a curriculum filled with a variety of child-centered and developmentally appropriate activities that are safe, fun and friendly. The children's spiritual growth will be enriched by the study of Jewish holidays, traditions and family values.
Two's, Three's and Four's Throughout the course of a week, the children will participate in movement, music, sports and games led by skilled specialists. Additionally, monthly we have special visits from a naturalist who brings in animals, and our three's and four's enjoy a science program. All age groups participate in an ASL (American Sign Language) program which meets twice a month.
Mazel Tots has two playgrounds on site. One is specific for the Toddler's and Two's while the other meets the needs of our Three's and Four's. When the weather doesn't permit outside play, we utilize our indoor space for blocks and other aerobic activities.
We feature a Jewish component focusing on the study of holidays, traditions and family values. Every Friday we celebrate Shabbat. This is a very special day for the children because we gather as a school to tell stories with the Rabbi or sing with the Cantor. Plus, each classroom welcomes a Shabbat guest who participates in the blessings, candle lighting and is invited to read to the class.
Our Two's classes meet Wednesday through Friday (3-day 2's) from 9:00 am-11:30 am or Monday through Friday (5-day 2's) from 9:00 am-11:30 am.
Our Three's and Four's classes meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 11:45 am.
Parenting Program We are pleased to provide a Parenting Program. In the fall, parents are able to join in a class that meets for 10 sessions and it focuses on a variety of issues facing parents today. Childcare is provided for children attending with their parents. This program meets on Tuesdays from 9:30 am-10:45 am.
Toddler Program Beginning in January, we invite Toddlers to join our school. This program is designed to prepare children for a "separated" nursery school experience. The goal is to effect a gradual and gentle separation between your child and their accompanying adult (parent or caregiver) and to encourage children to gain confidence as they become accustomed to a classroom routine and environment. This program meets on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:15 am-10:45 am.
Mini-Camp During the month of June, we begin our Mini-Camp Program. Our Toddler's join us three-days-a-week from 9:00 am-11:15 am. Our Two's classes move to a five-day-a-week program and their day is extended until 11:45 am. For all our classes, our structure switches to a more "camp-like" format where the children experience a change in specialist every ½ hour. Mini-Camp is included in the tuition for children enrolled in our Toddlers, Two's, Three's and Four's classes. This program is also offered to families new to Mazel Tots.
The Second Act Families can choose to participate in The Second Act one, two, three or four days a week from 11:45 am- 2:00 pm. During this time, the children eat a home-prepared lunch, enjoy a specialist activity, and continue to play and explore in the classrooms. The Second Act is our extended day option, and it is available to our Three's and Four's classes.
Pizza And Play On Fridays, we offer our Pizza And Play Program. Children can stay at school until 12:45 pm and enjoy extra playtime outside (weather permitting) and eat a hot pizza lunch with their friends.
Summer Stars During the summer months, we offer Summer Stars, a seven week camp experience. Children ages 18 months to 6 year olds are engaged in activities such as sports, music, art and daily water play. We also have a special day each week focusing on a theme such as Circus Day, Hawaiian Day or Carnival Day. We strive to foster friendships and encourage children to continue to grow socially, emotionally and intellectually as they engage in new stimulating summer activities. During the summer, we offer a three-day option for Toddlers ages 18 to 30 months which meets Monday- Wednesday from 9:00 am-11:15 am. Our Two year olds to Six year olds may choose a half-day 9:00-12:00 option or a full-day 9:00-2:00 option with a served lunch included.
